By accessing or using NJ SORA Portal ("the Platform"), located at njsoraportal.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

NJ SORA Portal is an independent online marketplace that connects individuals seeking SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) training in New Jersey with NJSP-approved instructors and academies. We aggregate publicly available instructor data and provide a platform for discovery, comparison, and communication.

NJ SORA Portal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the New Jersey State Police (NJSP), IdentoGo, or any government agency.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Platform may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Instructor Listings

Instructor profiles on NJ SORA Portal are initially created using publicly available data from the NJSP-approved instructor database. Instructors may claim and customize their profiles. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all listing information is current, complete, or error-free. Users should independently verify instructor credentials and class details before enrolling.

5. No Training Services Provided

NJ SORA Portal does not provide SORA training, certification, or any educational services. We are a marketplace and directory. All training is provided by independent, third-party instructors and academies. Any disputes regarding training quality, scheduling, pricing, or certification should be resolved directly with the instructor or academy.

6. Payment and Fees

Searching and browsing NJ SORA Portal is free for students. Instructors may be subject to subscription or listing fees as described on our Pricing page. Any payments for training classes are made directly between the student and the instructor; NJ SORA Portal does not process training payments or act as an intermediary for class fees.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an instructor profile
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and trademarks on NJ SORA Portal are the property of NJ SORA Portal or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any instructor listings, reviews, or content on the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NJ SORA Portal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to damages related to training quality, instructor conduct, certification outcomes, or reliance on information provided through the Platform.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
