Class Registration & Attendance

By registering for a SORA training class, you agree to attend all required hours as mandated by the New Jersey State Police. NJSP policy does not allow partial attendance — if you miss any portion of the class, you will need to complete the full course in a future session.

Cancellation & Refund Terms

  • Reschedule or partial refund: Available for cancellations made 24-72 hours before class
  • Same-day cancellations and no-shows: Not eligible for refund, though rescheduling may be offered at the instructor's discretion

All refund requests must be communicated directly to the instructor. State and fingerprinting fees are paid to separate agencies and are beyond the instructor's control.

Rescheduling & Cancellation

If you need to reschedule your SORA class, contact Charles Covin as early as possible. One complimentary reschedule is typically available per enrollment, subject to class availability. Repeated no-shows may forfeit your enrollment.

Instructor cancellations: In the rare event that a class must be cancelled by the instructor (weather, emergency, minimum enrollment not met), all registered students will be offered a full refund or priority placement in the next available session.

Important NJSP deadline: Remember that your NJSP application expires 30 days from the date issued. If you reschedule close to your deadline, you may need to reapply with the State Police. Plan accordingly.
